In traditional big band repertoire, the trumpet section provides both melodic and harmonic roles. In general, the origin of jazz was believed to have started in New Orleans before it spread to Chicago and then on to Kansas City, then to New York City and finally the West Coast area. Wave after wave of Jazz Fusion guitars, drum and bass come rolling from the speakers all mixing into a complex dispersal of sounds and shapes.
We have experienced a reemergence of this once popular style of music and dance recently even so with some notable musicians bringing back the swing and ‘big band’ reasonable that went in tandem with jazz as both a music form and a style of dance.
