Google announced a family subscription plan for Google Play Music a few months ago, but the option to sign up is just starting to roll out. In line with a vast amount of research on the emotional effects of music-listening (for an overview see Juslin and Sloboda, 2010 ), our findings suggest that music listening as a social activity relates to more positive emotions being experienced in everyday life.
According to Google this is live starting today, and over the course of the next few days” Android and iOS users will see it appear inside of the Google Play Music app, with a pop-up allowing for new or existing subscribers to sign up for the family plan for only $14.99 per month.

I was all ready to switch from Apple Music to Google Play Music, but the fact that I can’t put my family on it is a deal breaker for me. I have an old google apps for domain account that I and my family use and the fact that I can’t take advantage of this is really disappointing.
